Crim Race Community Support & T-Shirt Design
August 23,2024
The Entrepreneur Society designed and printed custom t-shirts to support the 2024 Crim Race while promoting awareness of the student organization. The initiative highlighted ES’s commitment to community involvement and student leadership. At the time, ES President Jacob Burgess wore the shirt while completing the race, helping spread visibility for both the event and the organization.
At the Management Fair
September 2024
The Entrepreneur Society participated in the Fall Engagement Fair to promote the student organization and connect with students across campus. ES members shared information about the organization, answered questions, and raised awareness about opportunities available through the society. The event helped introduce new students to ES and encouraged campus-wide involvement in entrepreneurship and innovation.
Fall Semester Welcome Party
October 8, 2024
The Entrepreneur Society hosted a Fall Semester Welcome Party open to students from all departments across campus. The event provided a welcoming space for students interested in entrepreneurship to connect with like-minded peers and engage with successful community members. By bringing together students and local professionals, the event encouraged networking, idea-sharing, and mentorship while strengthening the entrepreneurial community on campus.
Brewing Success with the Chancellor
On February 19th, 2025, the Entrepreneur Society hosted Brewing Success with the Chancellor at Café Rhema in Flint. This allowed students all across campus to gather and connect not just with Chancellor Laurence B. Alexander, but with each other as well. This provided a fun, friendly, and casual networking opportunity for anyone on campus.
An Interview with a Scholar
Two of our accomplished leaders spent time chatting about why they chose to be student scholars. The Haggerman Center for Entrepreneurship & Innovation was created in 2015 to enrich the education of UMF students through experiences and opportunities in business beyond the classroom. Our President, Jacob Burgess, and our Vice President, Bella Bupp, sat down with the Haggerman Center and told them about their experiences as Haggernam Scholarship recipients and why being a student scholar has benefitted them. You can watch Jacob’s Interview here and Bella‘s Interview here.
Golf Night Out
The Entrepreneur Society hosted a Topgolf outing as a fun and relaxed way for members to connect outside of regular meetings. Students shared stories and reflected on memories from the fall and winter semesters while building stronger relationships. The event reinforced ES’s belief that networking can be both meaningful and enjoyable.
End-of-Semester Bowling Night
April 15, 2025
To close out the fall and winter semesters, the Entrepreneur Society held a bowling night during one of its final meetings of 2025. The event gave members a chance to celebrate the semester’s accomplishments, strengthen connections, and enjoy time together before finals.
