100K Ideas Tour
Flint – February 26, 2024
The Entrepreneur Society was invited to tour 100K Ideas in Flint, a local resource that supports entrepreneurs in starting and growing their businesses. During the visit, students learned about available tools, mentorship opportunities, and community support systems designed to help entrepreneurs succeed. The tour introduced members to valuable local resources and reinforced the importance of connecting students with the broader entrepreneurial ecosystem.
Student Business Plan Presentation & Workshop
April 8, 2024
A student presented their business plan to the Entrepreneur Society board for feedback and guidance. ES members, board leaders, and the faculty advisor worked collaboratively with the student to strengthen the plan and identify clear next steps. The session emphasized mentorship, constructive feedback, and real-world application to help support student-led ventures.
Student Business Presentation – April 2024
The Entrepreneurs Society hosted Matt Kilmer, owner of the Kilmer Agency, at the Student Business Presentation on April 10th, 2024. Kilmer is a fellow University of Michigan – Flint student. His agency provides digital marketing services for businesses in order to help the, expand their promotion and customer base. We learned all about how the business started, how it operates, and were able to provide input for ways to update the business plan.
Wolverine Excellence Awards
We had a great time at the Wolverine Excellence Awards ceremony yesterday (4/14/2023). We are proud to have been nominated for two awards; Outstanding Student Organization and Outstanding Student Organization Advisor.
We are proud of the work we have accomplished as a team. Thank you to all ES members for contributing to the success of our organization, and thank you to our Adviser, Dr. Michael Witt; we are honored to have you.
